Game Review

Dying Light 2 Stay Human, Tech Land's eagerly anticipated follow-up to their zombie-killing parkour role-playing game from 2015, is now available.

The game starts as Aiden seeks to enter the walled town of Villeroy, one of the last cities on Earth, in search of his sister.

Aiden and his sister, Mia, were experimented on as youngsters throughout the first stages of the natural zombie event. This experimentation could also explain why Aiden has been ready to survive. See you later on your own.

The City of Villeroy is surprisingly elaborate and packed with characters to interact with. There are loads of other foliage within the initial game, as nature has begun to reclaim the town. The survivors have turned to farming and alternative forms of property ownership as ways of making a living, rather than simply scavenging.

The game is completed entirely in first-person, never breaking from that read. Jumping, falling, swinging, and fighting stray from the protagonist's purpose of reading.

Visually, Dying Light 2 is one of the best fantasy games. While the environmental effects during rainstorms give the game a photo-realistic appearance, they fall short whenever the sun comes out. The characters are expertly modeled with facial animation, aiming for a realistic appearance. The cream, though, is that the camera associates depreciation from Aiden's POV, bringing an unprecedented realism to the sport.

Dying Light offers a pair of on-laptop options, including ray-traced lighting and shadows, which are enough to push your GPU through its paces. I maxed out at 4K HDR while running the sport with an RTX 3090. Enabling Nvidia's deep-learning super-sampling (DLSS), the game switches to an additional sixty independent frames. Dropping the resolution to 2560 x 1440, the frame rate starts to break the hundred frames-per-second barrier.

The developer, Techland, has not been following the specifications needed to play the game; however, the higher-than-average score puts things into perspective. It highlights the significant profit Nvidia's DLSS brings to the table, even with high-end GPUs. DLS 2.0 enables crisp-looking graphics, even on the highest performance setting. Whereas the standard location still provides the sport with a good performance boost. The balanced setting offers the best of both worlds.
