Totally Reliable Delivery Game Review

The goal of Delivery Service You Can Trust is simple: get the packages to their destination as soon as possible.There is a twist, though: you have to control each arm of the delivery person separately, like in Octodad or QWOP.
When I turned on the game, I could choose to play locally with up to four people or online with the same number of people. I decided to play the game offline to see what it was like, and let me tell you, it's a banana sandwich.
At first, the game shows you how to make a basic delivery. Grab the switch on the package dispenser, lift it up to make a package pop out, and take it to the marked spot. It seems easy until you try to move the package with any degree of accuracy. When you lift the switch to get the package out of the next marked dispenser, a vehicle will appear. They wanted me to use the car to deliver the next package, but it was harder than I thought it would be.
As I explored and drove around, there were more things to think about, like speed: if you go too fast, the package will fly out, or the shocking discovery that if you drive over a manhole cover, your package and vehicle will be thrown into the air. All of these things just made the game more fun and interesting.
As you make deliveries, you get cosmetics to change the look of your driver. You can go to the menu at any time to change how the game is set up. Some of it was only available as DLC. But it looks like you could unlock a good number of the options by playing the game.
The Totally Reliable Delivery Service has operations established on a number of distinct islands. It looks like there are a lot of deliveries to be made, and the number of deliveries that need to be made varies from island to island.
The game is easy to play because the left and right triggers control what you grab with your left and right hands. When you press the left or right bumper, the corresponding arm goes up so you can pick up the package. In a car, whichever hand you use to hold the steering wheel controls the car with the corresponding analog stick. When you press the left stick, the car runs when you're not in it and honks when you are. Physics games are hard and challenging because of how they work. There were times when I had trouble with the controls. The game sometimes has trouble figuring out where your feet are in relation to the ground, so there were times when I got stuck for good. But there is a quick way to get unstuck called "re-spawn."
When it comes to controls, Totally Reliable Delivery Service throws a lot of vehicles at you to make sure your packages get delivered safely. The most fun vehicle I saw was a race kart that was powered by two fire extinguishers, but it didn't have enough space to carry a package. Some of the cars, like the forklift, are easy to use and feel good, but the helicopter was by far the most difficult to drive. When I tried to deliver a package with it three times, I either crashed into a building or fell into the ocean.
There are a few different things you can do in the online mode, from quick play to hosting your own sessions. I jumped into a quick game to see what was going on, and it was chaos. Delivery drivers were crashing into each other and destroying packages. The good thing to remember is that a lot of people were playing. So I went to another session, which went a bit better. Another man and I delivered a few packages together, and we took turns carrying some of the heavier packages.
Last thing: the music in Totally Reliable Delivery Service is great. It has a nice, calm rhythm that makes the game feel like it's moving along at a good pace without getting in the way or getting on your nerves.
There are some technical bugs in A Totally Reliable Delivery Service, but what it delivers is a lot of fun. I think the game would be even more fun if you could play it with a few friends and plan the chaos together.
