Kukoos: Lost Pets is a family-friendly 3D platformer from Brazilian studio Petit Fabrik, released on 6 December 2022. You play a Kukoo tracking down escaped pets across colourful themed worlds, riding each creature to gain a new movement ability. It is aimed squarely at younger players and is best understood on those terms.

What is it?
A traditional 3D collect-a-thon platformer in the mould of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro, built around one central idea: each pet you rescue becomes a mount granting a distinct traversal ability — gliding, ground-pounding, climbing.
Levels are themed and linear, with collectibles hidden along optional routes. Presentation is bright and cheerful, and the world design has genuine personality.
Who is it for?
Children, and adults playing alongside them. The difficulty is gentle, checkpoints are frequent, and there is no meaningful failure penalty.
Experienced platformer players will find it undemanding and technically rough — camera control is imprecise in tight spaces and the collision detection is inconsistent. Neither is severe enough to spoil it for the intended audience.
Is it worth buying?
Yes, at a discount, if you want a gentle platformer for a younger player. The mount mechanic is a good idea and the art direction is genuinely charming.
No, if you want a polished 3D platformer for yourself. Astro's Playroom, the Crash and Spyro remasters, and Tinykin all do this better.
